L'Auberge Carmel is a full-service, luxury, 20-room Relais & Chteaux property located in the heart of Carmel-by-the-Sea blocks from the famed Carmel Beach. The newly renovated guestrooms, courtyard, restaurant, and amenities provided will pamper our guests and give a great sense of value for the money spent. Our service level is anticipatory, designed to meet and exceed all of our guests' needs.

L'Auberge Carmel is looking for team members that have a keen eye for the smallest of details combined with maximum efficiency to follow a prescribed routine quickly and accurately. All our team members are detail-oriented and self-motivated. While you'll perform a good deal of your work alone, you should also have a service-oriented attitude and strong interpersonal skills that will help you provide a welcoming guest experience.

Job Objective: To perform daily housekeeping and laundry services in a first-class manner. Is familiar with and complies with the L'Auberge Carmel and Mirabel Hotel and Restaurant Group's Mission and Service Standards as well as Relais & Chateaux's 5 C's and philosophy in performing all essential duties and responsibilities.

Key Areas of Accountability:
  • Provide guests with professional, efficient, prompt, and courteous service.
  • Maintain a neat, clean, and pleasant image for guests.
  • Clean and maintain all guestrooms to established standards.
  • Clean and maintain assigned hotel public areas to established standards.
  • Clean and replenish a designated number of rooms to hotel standards within allocated shift hours.
  • Perform all duties in a safe manner and report all accidents to the supervisor immediately regardless of severity.
  • Maintain safety and security of guests at all times.
Requirements
  • Complete work assignment sheets on a daily basis.
  • Maintain organization and supplies in housekeeping and laundry area and closets.
  • Adhere to L'Auberge Carmel uniform and grooming standards.
  • Check all rooms and report any damage, repair needs, or loss of supplies, equipment, or linen to management
  • Recycle newspapers, cans, plastic, and glass bottles.
  • Assist in providing any guest needs.
  • Adhere to Illness and Injury Prevention Program and perform all job responsibilities in a safe manner.
  • Ensure proper use and care of all equipment and supplies.
  • Turn in all lost and found items to Housekeeping Supervisor.
  • Assist in training new/other employees.
  • Demonstrates loyalty and trustworthiness to the entire Mirabel Hotel and Restaurant Group.
  • Maintain storage rooms in a clean and orderly fashion.
