Job Description:

The Site Coordinator will coordinate the provision of social services within a public school setting. The target population will be students and their families facing obstacles to academic and personal success. The Site Coordinator will work directly on the school campus providing professional, accessible services to at-risk students and their families.

This position will serve in the Uvalde Consolidated Independent School District.

Primary Responsibilities

Campus Coordination
  • Complete a campus needs assessment by identifying services available and gaps in needed services
  • Develop a Campus Service Delivery Plan (CSDP) to address site-specific needs and targets students facing obstacles that impact academic, behavior, attendance and social service needs
  • Collaborate with appropriate school staff that focus on student support services
  • Provide CIS-SA orientation and training for school staff
  • Collaborate with principal and appropriate student support staff to target at-risk students for case management and collect recommendation forms
  • Communicate with school principal or designee on a regular basis to seek input and report on program progress
  • Monitor and document student progress toward goals
  • Gather administrator, parent and student feedback regarding program implementation
  • Evaluate campus programming effectiveness
File and Data Maintenance
  • Collect CIS-SA paperwork, demographic and academic information for each identified case managed student and enter this data into the CIS approved data entry system
  • Establish and maintain accurate and complete CIS-SA participant files with appropriate and up-to-date information/documentation as per program procedures and guidelines
  • Obtain sign in sheets for services in accordance with program procedures and guidelines
  • Document services from sign in sheets in the CIS approved data entry system
  • Maintain data quality by monitoring paper files and data for accuracy and error
Program Service Delivery
  • Design, implement, and coordinate an array of programs, services and resources that benefit at risk students and incorporate the CIS Five Basics and Six Components for service delivery
  • Assess and create service plans for case managed students utilizing the CIS Model
  • Coordinate, collaborate and deliver school-wide services that meet program requirements and identify school needs.
  • Implement individual and group services that address the individualized student assessed needs
  • Implement, manage and report on grants and projects assigned to campus
Integrative Services
  • Broker with outside agencies, businesses, volunteers and interns to provide direct services or referrals that meet student needs
  • Coordinate in-kind donations to support student needs and program activities
  • Coordinate and oversee volunteers and collaborate with community partners to ensure success of program
  • Coordinate and oversee interns assigned to the campus per university requirements
  • Provide volunteer, intern and community partner orientation regarding CIS program policies and school-based service provision
Administrative
  • Manage time card Attend all meetings and trainings as required
  • Ensure the completion of required programmatic reports
  • Plan appropriate expenditures and maintain budgets

Position Type: This is a full-time position with work hours typically 8am-5pm.

Pay: Salary will be commensurate with years of related/relevant work experience and level of education. Bachelor's degree pay range is $38, 584 to $52,021 and Masters degree range is $40, 851 to $56,181

Benefits: CIS-SA provides a comprehensive benefits package in addition to pay to include holiday pay based on school district calendars and a paid summer break (with 6 month tenure).

Requirements

Minimum Requirements, Education & Experience
  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in social work, counseling, psychology or sociology with related work experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in related field with case management, case work or social services experience may be considered
  • Experience with at-risk populations and cross-cultural environments
  • Proven ability to set priorities and work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to articulate program goals in a public setting
  • A willingness to follow the philosophy of CIS and operate as a team player
Preferred Education & Experience
  • Master's degree in a social work, counseling, psychology or equivalent highly preferred.
  • 2 years related work/internship experience in social services
  • Experience working in a school setting preferred
  • Bilingual ability in Spanish and English preferred
Additional Requirements
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Ability to pass a fingerprint based background check under TEA regulations
