Job Description

McDonald's is hiring a Director of Platform for the Global Technology Data & Analytics team. This role will be responsible for the McDonald's Enterprise Integration platform.

The team's responsibilities, that you will be Directing, include:
  • Lead all aspects of application and 3rd party integrations which includes defining architecture patterns, technical design, DevOps, setting up documentation standards and manage development teams to deliver key integrations
  • Architect & implement a highly scalable and resilient integration architecture
  • Collaborating with technology and business partners to understand the application footprint, business flows and integration points across the enterprise
  • Clearly articulate integration best practices, design patterns for error handling, alerting, notifications and recommendations to technology teams and also business sponsors
  • Lead a team of integration engineers to develop, test and deploy integrations
  • Ability to work with global and offshore contracting teams will be required
  • Document the QA/testing and devops standards and guidelines
  • Implement a robust SDLC and CI/CD framework for all integrations
  • Review, monitor project team's adherence to coding standards & implementation framework
  • Managing overall projected and BAU team funding requests and ensuring general fiscal responsibility for execution.
Qualifications
  • 10+ years relevant work experience in a data architecture work, including experience with scaled software systems
  • B.S. degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 10+ years of experience with technical implementations of enterprise application integrations
  • 10+ years of experience as integrations engineering leader with experience in standing up and growing a platform from scratch
  • Proven expertise in designing and developing integration using variety of patterns using API, event based, file based
  • Expertise with SOAP/REST-based services, XML, JSON, OData, JavaScript
  • Expertise with queuing systems like Kafka, SQS, RMQ
  • Strong hands-on experience of services in public clouds AWS and GCP
  • Managed an engineering team for several years
  • Verbal and written communications and presentation skills, with the ability to influence, negotiate and drive outcomes
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, often changing, and sometimes ambiguous environment
  • Curious, task-oriented and a self-starter with a strong bias for action; Proven track record of "getting things done".
