Position Overview

As a pivotal member of the global enterprise architecture team, which shapes the enterprise architecture strategy, establishes a guiding capability, and develops architecture blueprints and standards, the principal architect for marketing and CRM will play an essential role in providing architectural thought leadership and influencing execution across our global customer engagement and personalization strategies, as well as product and technology teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop a comprehensive technology and architecture vision, strategy, standards, and capability target state and roadmaps that provide a coherent context and direction for the marketing and CRM domain.
  • Collaborate closely with our strategy team to chart the future of digital engagement and personalization, including AdTech, MarTech, and data enablement strategies, while defining and maintaining target state blueprints and evolution/migration architecture strategies and roadmaps.
  • Lead the enterprise architecture strategic technology and architecture decision governance for significant initiatives impacting engagement, AdTech/MarTech, and customer data products and platforms.
  • Guide product and engineering teams on solution and integration design, implementation, and standardization.
  • Apply architectural principles and expertise effectively (e.g., Domain-Driven Design for clean domain boundaries, composability), driving agility, simplification, and standardization while ensuring privacy, security, reliability, scalability, and performance.
  • Mentor fellow architects and contribute significantly to the maturation of the enterprise architecture practice.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
  • Over 10 years of experience in the MarTech/AdTech solutions space, including large-scale transactional and data analytics systems and integration platforms.
  • Experience in developing and integrating complex systems, with at least 3 years in leading architecture/design roles for large-scale complex systems and problem-solving.
  • Strong knowledge of the MarTech/AdTech industry landscape, innovations, data privacy, and AI safety regulations.
  • Hands-on leadership experience in large-scale cloud-native implementations on leading cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Excellent analytical and architectural modeling skills, well-versed in key architecture concepts and principles, including Domain-Driven Design, microservices, REST APIs, and various architectural viewpoints.
  • Experience across all facets of architecture and engineering, including application development, data platforms, infrastructure, and deployment.
  • Exposure to an enterprise-level, global technology landscape, with a proven ability to establish standards and define future roadmaps for a global organization.
  • Ability to partner with business and technology stakeholders to articulate the value and outcomes of new or evolving capabilities.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience in large enterprise digital transformation initiatives.
  • Systems thinker with the ability to analyze complex problems from technological, business model, process, and organizational perspectives.
  • Ability to balance ad hoc demands with organizational priorities and set realistic expectations.
  • A self-motivated influencer with strong stakeholder management skills.
