Kitchell Contractors is seeking a proactive Marketing Associate. This role is pivotal in supporting diverse marketing initiatives with a strong emphasis on collaborating with project pursuit teams in work acquisition efforts in the Arizona and Texas regions. The ideal candidate will manage and coordinate qualification and proposal responses, create dynamic visual presentations, assist in event planning, manage marketing database content, and utilize the latest marketing technologies to convey various communications both internally and externally. The ability to produce high-quality marketing materials using both written and visual communication skills is paramount.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Pursue New Work: Coordinate and create dynamic qualifications, proposals, presentations, and other work acquisition deliverables that tell the Kitchell story using InDesign, PowerPoint, and other tools. Research, gather information, and collaborate with pursuit teams to prepare high-quality responses to requests for proposals and qualifications.
  • Utilize the Latest Marketing Technologies: Prepare graphic design work and technical writing, developing compelling content to support marketing and operations communications initiatives. Monitor industry trends and implement new technologies and visual aids, including the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI).
  • Tell the Kitchell Story: Perform communication activities such as website updates and intranet content development. Digital content creation to support various market-, client-, and project-level communications as well as internal communications content supporting operational initiatives.
  • Event Planning and Coordination: Assist in the preparation and coordination of company and client events, including our milestone 75th-anniversary celebrations in 2025.
  • Database and File Management: Maintain and update marketing information in the CRM database, ensuring organized and accurate project information. Update and maintain files including project and employee photography.
  • Market Research and Trend Monitoring: Conduct market research as requested and stay abreast of industry trends to keep our marketing strategies innovative and effective.
  • Collaborative Relationships: Establish and maintain collaborative, effective, and professional relationships with internal team members and external clients / delivery partners.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other tasks as needed to support the marketing department.
Requirements

Knowledge and Skills
  • Strong writing abilities and graphic design skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work and manage projects both independently and collaboratively.
  • Works effectively to set and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Basic understanding of A/E/C industry terminology and procedures.
  • Knowledge of Salesforce (CRM) and Ceros experience is a plus.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communication, Journalism, or a related discipline.
  • 1-2 years of A/E/C proposal and design experience preferred.
Work Environment
  • General office environment with options for remote work as needed.
  • Onsite work may be required for specific projects or events.
Physical Requirements
  • Visual and manual dexterity for computer work, with the ability to endure continual hours of computer work.
