This position provides daily assistance and guidance to Bank employees related to recruitment, onboarding, employee engagement, intern program, and compliance management. Supports HR objectives that provide an employee-oriented culture that emphasizes the Bank's values.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for the full recruiting cycle. Coordinates search activities; prescreens applicants and internal candidates; provides guidance and consults with managers regarding interviewing and selection techniques; coordinates relocation assistance, prepares and extends offers of employment. Develops and maintains a strong relationship with candidates throughout the recruitment process.
- Conducts on-boarding and new employee orientation.
- Assists managers in drafting or updating job descriptions. Responsible for and maintains the Bank's job description library in Workday.
- Supports in the development and implementation of the Bank's Internship program including but not limited to recruitment of interns, collaboration with managers regarding intern work assignments, conducts orientation, coordination of events, and ongoing communication with interns. Identifies and participates in targeted job fairs and university partnerships.
- Build and maintain relationships with colleges, universities and other organizations by attending career fairs, networking events and hosting information sessions to attract top talent.
- Attends networking and recruitment events with diverse professional organizations to help build a talent pipeline to attract diverse talent.
- Responsible for maintaining relationships with recruitment agencies for contingent workers. On/offboards contingent workers and is the primary HR contact for contingent worker issues.
- Complies with federal and state regulations by researching existing and new legislation and advising management on needed actions to ensure adherence to requirements.
- In conjunction with other HR staff, assists in the ongoing management of HR policies and procedures, risks and controls, vendor/procurement and DE&I related matters.
- Conduct the annual employee background check process associated with high-risk positions.
- Coordinates offsite storage associated with the Bank's Record Retention Policy and serves as the Record Retention Coordinator for the HR Department.
- Participate in a variety of HR projects and assume additional responsibilities as assigned.
- A bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or business-related discipline preferred.
- Minimum of 2-year HR related experience. (i.e. intern experience acceptable)
- Computer proficiency with Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience with Workday preferred.
- Able to exercise good judgement and maintain confidentiality.
- Time management and organization skills needed to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills; able to establish and maintain effective working relationships at all levels within the organization.
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
- Detail oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
