CSET's Sequoia Community Corps Case Management Department is seeking a highly motivated individual to provide case management to Corpsmembers between the ages of 18-26 years old. The right candidate will be able to work in a high-functioning environment with a diverse population. The Case Management team is responsible to process program eligibility, enrollments, exits, follow-ups, etc. They will assist trainees with transitional job services, resources, and in assisting them with finding unsubsidized employment. Strong communication, writing, time management, and comprehension skills are a must. Must be able to work with little to no supervision.SCOPE OF WORK:The purpose of this position is to provide residents with vocational counseling and career planning assistance. The incumbent of this position is responsible to recruit potential customers or employers, providing outreach in low-income communities as well as determining program eligibility and enrollment.ACCOUNTABILITIES:Collects organizes and analyzes information about individuals through records, tests, interviews, and professional sources, to appraise their interests, aptitudes, abilities, and personal characteristics for vocational planningMaintains case management files, documents contact with customers, employers, school staff, and other partners and provide all required documentation in a timely mannerMonitors and maintains program enrollments to ensure full crews and a robust list of potential candidatesMaintains attendance and safety recordsMaintains the inventory of safety equipment, uniforms, and program field suppliesPrepares and modifies documents including correspondence, reports, memos, and emailsServes as a customer liaison responding to customer problems, questions, or concerns and coordinates with the proper agency personnel to provide timely and accurate answers for the customersFollow-up with customers and agencies as appropriate to document the use/success of referralsProvides documentation to partnering agenciesInputs accurate and complete data for all contacts with customers into the agency databaseFacilitates one-to-one counseling, case management, orientations, and workshops to assist in preparation for job readiness, assist with resume building, and help participants navigate the labor marketRemains updated on occupational and local labor market information, program requirements, and regulations affecting participants and employersRefers customers to other program resources as applicableCompiles and studies occupational, educational, and economic information to aid in making and carrying out vocational and educational objectivesParticipates in outreach events and meetings with partner agencies as assignedParticipates in training and professional development to build the required knowledge for the positionPerforms other duties including but not limited to fulfillment of work schedules, adherence to attendance policies, and other applicable operating rules, policies, and proceduresSKILLS & ABILITIES:Ability to uphold company principles and practices to the highest degree and represent the agency in a professional mannerProvide exceptional customer service for individuals from various backgrounds that include efficient, precise, and courteous communication in a dignified environmentAbility to speak effectively with groups of customers or employees of the organizationAbility to develop and maintain effective working relationships with employers, co-workers, members of other agencies, and the general publicAbility to deal with customers in a calm, professional, friendly, and patientAbility to work under pressure and work with different types of personalitiesKnowledgeable of modern office procedures and methods is proficient in the use of a computer, Windows operating system including Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and Access) and program databasePossess communication skills, research abilities, flexibility, and an ability to work well with othersAbility to read and interpret documentsAbility to write routine reports and correspondenceKnowledge of the local labor market and employer expectationsPossess excellent organizational skills and attention to detailPossess in-depth knowledge of all aspects of the various company programs and the ability to communicate policy information in a clear and detailed mannerAbility to work effectively with minimal/no supervisionAbility to communicate effectively both verbally and in written formWORK CONDITIONS & ENVIRONMENT:The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
