About the Role As a People Coordinator, you will join a People and Talent team dedicated to building a world-class employee experience. We are seeking a People Coordinator to be responsible for administrative and operational duties within the Newsroom, including problem-solving a variety of employee inquiries, while also acting as a thought partner with and on behalf of the People team across a multitude of projects and initiatives. Our People Coordinator will play a vital role in keeping People programs running efficiently through detailed coordination and exceptional communication, with the opportunity to contribute to new programs and initiatives. The ideal candidate is a passionate HR/People professional, eager to grow in their career and find new, innovative ways to enhance the employee experience. With an obsessive attention to detail, our ideal People Coordinator will bring consistent execution, energy, and enthusiasm to our fast-paced, organized, and operationally efficient team. Responsibilities Establish and maintain relationships with Newsroom employees, acting as a liaison between the employee population and the People team. Monitor inbound employee inquiries and problem solve a variety of questions across HR programs such as benefits, onboarding, payments, company systems, and more. Provide administrative and operational support across People programs including performance reviews, benefits administration, diversity and inclusion, compliance, and new projects. Foster a consistently positive and welcoming experience for all employees. Consistently maintain People systems to ensure updated, accurate information and data is readily available. Assist in the research and coordination of ad hoc tasks, as needed. Coordinate and collaborate to efficiently execute People programs, initiatives, and OKRs. Assist with the onboarding process for new hires, as needed. Requirements Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required. Up to 3 years’ experience in an HR, Operations, or Customer Service related role. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Strong attention to detail; process-oriented with a focus on organization. Self-starter with a deep desire to solve problems and continuously improve the employee experience. Ability to prioritize and thrive in a fast-paced, fluid environment; effective time management skills. Proven ability to consistently execute assigned tasks. Proficient with Google Suite and Microsoft Office Suite. Developing understanding of HR principles, best practices, and procedures.
