JOB DUTIES:

The Governor's Office of Community Service (GOCS), also known as ServeMontana, is looking for a Grant Specialist to join the team for up to 12 months.In this role, reporting directly to the Director, the successful candidate requires the skills and experience to facilitate and drive the process and activities for organizational development and sustainability. The overarching goal of the position is to optimize OCS infrastructure to support and sustain high performance with a culture of positive customer service, attitude of excellence, and accountability.

As a GOCS Grant Specialist, you will:
  • Work independently and as a member of a team
  • Support administration of national service grants and grant compliance in support of the Office of Community Service's mission
  • Will work in coordination with the GOCS Grants Manager and Financial Officer to negotiate solutions to complex community opportunities and problems.
  • Perform a variety of other technical and administrative duties in support of the GOCS, Governor's Office, and the Commission's mission and program objectives.Duties include high-level interaction with elected officials.
Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITES:

  • National service and community volunteerism, AmeriCorps grant management experience preferred

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Your preparation for this opportunity could include a combination of relevant experiences including:
  • Qualified applicants should possess an associate degree in a related field plus one year of applicable experience.

  • Three years of related experience.
OR
  • Any combination of equivalent experience and education to successfully perform the essential functions of the position will be considered.
