Business Systems Analyst - (Salisbury, MD)

Optomi, in partnership with a leader in the agribusiness space, is seeking a Business Systems Analyst to join the team in Salisbury, MD. The position will be a part of team that responsible for design, development, and implementation of new systems and technologies. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to analyze business requirements and evaluate existing systems, and propose innovative solutions to enhance efficiency and productivity. The focus areas they will be aligned to are Contracts, finance, logistics, and tickets & settlements.

Responsibilities of the right candidate:

  • Primary architect of overall business processes and solution design in assigned functional area.
  • Coordinate project tasks with business team members and SMEs.
  • Working with Business, blueprinting, designing, creating specifications for development
  • Assist in fit/gap analysis, developing solutions to resolve gaps.
  • Oversight and execution of design, configuration, testing, training and cutover for commercial areas.
  • Learns end to end business processes and system for the project and future support.
  • Designs efficient processes utilizing available technologies.
  • Responsible for system configurations to support business processes.
  • Responsible for creation and execution of test cases
  • Responsible for creating and administering training for end users and super users.
  • Will continue post-project to support the business, maintain the system and processes and participate in upgrade and enhancement projects.

Experience of the right candidate:

  • Experience with Commodity Trading and Risk Management (CTRM) systems.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Supply Chain Management.
  • Knowledge in systems analysis, programming and systems development methodology.
  • Must possess strong communication, interpersonal and project management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required, as the position requires direct communication with end users and business leaders.
  • Must be comfortable working in a team environment.
  • Ability to travel occasionally, possibly overnight, to any customer area, which could be any Company facility or to a remote site or to a training facility or conference.
  • Proficiency in software development methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall.
  • Experience with DycoTrade CTRM. (PREFERRED, any CTRM will do)
  • Experience with CRM/Salesforce.
  • Knowledge of Data Analytics concepts and tools is a plus.
  • Prior use of Jira software.
  • Understanding of agricultural business industry and processes.
