Description

Objective/Summary:

Responsible for providing Human Resources department administrative support in the following areas: applicant tracking, employment, internal investigations, and compliance.

Essential Functions:

Applicant Tracking
  • Process pre-employment background and references checks.
  • Responsible for sending offer letters, onboarding documents, to include I-9 compliance, and verification of onboarding checklists prior to employee start date.
  • Assist the region generalists with screening, sourcing, and interviewing as assigned by generalist or department manager.
Employment
  • Act as primary contact for department email inbox. Respond to or forward all emails to appropriate team member in timely fashion. Maintain a clean and organized inbox
  • Under the supervision of the HR Generalist or Department Manager, assist and/or conduct internal employee investigations following department protocols.

Compliance:

Ensure all client houses have proper signage to include all labor, e-verify, workers' compensation and other applicable posters as required per state and federal law.

Other Functions:

Assist Manager, Human Resources with projects as assigned.

Participate in administrative staff meetings and attend other meetings, trainings, and seminars.

Work Environment

This is a hybrid position. Must be able to work remotely with the ability to work at the Corporate Office in Champaign as needed. This position functions in a fast-paced, highly collaborative and customer-service focused environment.

Physical Demands:

This position is based at the Corporate Office and functions in a fast-paced, highly collaborative and customer-service focused environment; uses standard office equipment such as personal computer, scanner, fax, printer, and telephone/headset.

The position requires the ability to follow written and oral instructions and procedures

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a part-time (12-15 hours/week), temporary position. This position works primarily daytime hours, Monday through Friday. Schedule is flexible.

Travel:

No travel is required for this position.

Required Education and Experience:

Working knowledge of computers and relevant software application as it relates to the human resource function (i.e. Microsoft Office, HRIS, HCM and applicant tracking software etc.)

Preferred Education and Experience:

2 years customer service experience.

Associates degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field.

Additional Eligibility Requirements:

Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of information without breech for both personnel and corporate matters.

Must adhere to policies and procedures set forth in College Fresh employee handbook.
