Commitment. Teamwork. Respect. U.S Soccer is currently building a National Training Center in Fayette County, GA. This role will be reporting to the office in Fayetteville, GA. Position Description The Vice President of Accounting & Corporate Controller is responsible for overseeing all accounting functions, including financial reporting, budgeting, tax compliance, and internal controls. This role will ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial information and provide strategic guidance to senior management on accounting and financial matters.

Primary Responsibilities Oversee the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger. Ensure compliance with accounting principles, regulations, and standards (e.g., GAAP, IFRS, Non-Profit Accounting). Prepare and present financial statements, reports, and analysis to senior management and external stakeholders. Coordinate and manage audits (internal and external), tax filings, and other financial activities. Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance and mitigate risk. Provide strategic financial guidance and support to senior management. Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and other financial partners. Lead and mentor the accounting team, providing guidance and professional development opportunities. Stay current with accounting trends, regulations, and best practices. Perform complex special projects at the request of Management Requirements
