Customer Service Lead Technician

Lead’s primary responsibility is managing customer returns (i.e. evaluation, quoting, and repair) and testing of spare orders. Lead will also support all necessary test functions as requested by Supervisor or Manager.
Duties and Responsibilities
Oversee and ensure that all products meet or exceed quality standards through regular inspections, adherence to standard operating procedures, and collaboration with the quality assurance team.
Develop next generation of Field Service Technicians.
Mentor and coach team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Lead the team in achieving service and spare targets and efficiency goals, optimizing workflow, and minimizing downtime.
Identify opportunities for process improvement, implement lean principles, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance overall operational efficiency.
Support Field Service Team in the field as necessary via email, or phone support.
Emergency Field Service support as required.
Keep all visual management tools up-to-date on a daily basis for Repairs and Spares orders.
Ensure accurate and timely reporting of service metrics, including output and quality metrics.
Collaborate with the management team to provide regular updates on the team’s performance, challenges, and improvement opportunities.
Champion and enforce a culture of safety within the team, adhering to all safety guidelines and promoting a proactive approach to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
Requirements and Qualifications
Proven experience as a team lead or supervisor in a manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of safety protocols, quality control, and manufacturing processes.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to lead and motivate a diverse team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.

To perform minimum position requirements satisfactorily: requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing, testing or maintenance of electrical systems.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
