**Operations**

* Maintain regular and timely communication with the District Manager

* Perform all financial activities efficiently and in accordance with company standards, including cash handling and reporting, price changes, and merchandise handling

* Ensure cash control procedures are properly followed including; all transactions, bank deposits, till funds and petty cash

* Open and/or close the store ensuring completion of all tasks and checklists

* Ensure the cash wrap is organized, clean and efficiently operating at all times

* Maintain safety requirements to ensure safe working and shopping environment

* Maintain supplies at a consistent and appropriate level while controlling expenses

* Ensure stockroom/break room/office are maintained and organized

* Report maintenance issues to the District Manager

* Flexible/available in the event of scheduling, including, nights, weekends, associate and customer emergencies

**Inventory Management and Merchandising**

* Manage inventory levels; Ensure all incoming and outgoing shipments are processed properly and replenished when needed

* Ensure all merchandise on the sales floor/back stock is sized and organized according to company standards

* Ensure accuracy of store promotions and merchandise markdowns

* Lead in the maintenance of the visual impact for the store:

* Mannequins are fully dressed and styled

* Visual displays are always in exceptional condition

* Identify and communicate product/fixture concerns

* Preparation and execution of physical inventories, ensuring all guiding principles are followed accurately

**Human Resources**

* Demonstrates leadership and leads by example

* Recruits, hires, develop, motivates and coach store team:

* Distinguish between acceptable and unacceptable employment applications

* Conducts performance evaluations and corrective actions

* Ensures store environment where all employees are treated fairly and respectfully

* Communicate any concerns/issues to the District Manager as needed

* Review and process associate timesheets to verify completeness and accuracy of hours worked and payroll used; ensure payroll is entered timely and in correct manner

* Be flexible to cover shift(s) in the event there are no other employees available to work

* Ensure personal and team image standards are reflective of the Salt Life and adhered to at all time

**Loss Prevention**

* Protect the stores funds, property, and fellow associates property by conforming to and enforcing all loss prevention guiding principles, policies and procedures

* Communicate all loss prevention related concerns or incidents to the District Manager

* Ensure Salt Life employees are not abusing associate discount

* Process all damaged merchandise according to policy

* Log all missing merchandise and found tags per policy

**Requirements**

* Must be at least 18 years of age

* Interest in ocean centric activities

* High School Diploma required

* Ability to work store sales floor for extended periods

* Must pass a background check

* Able to work flexible schedule including weekends, evenings and holidays

* Ability to lift at least 30 lbs., carry, push, squat, kneel, twist, turn, reach and bend

* Must have a positive, outgoing, high energy personality
