Summersalt is looking for a Retail Store Manager to lead our retail team at the Tanger Outlets Myrtle Beach Hwy 17. The Store Manager will play an essential role in growing our retail presence by overseeing store operations, ensuring maximum sales and profitability through merchandise, inventory, expense control, personnel management, and managing operating costs and shrinkage. In addition, the Store Manager will be responsible for our customer's experience by fostering a sense of loyalty, retention and brand exposure. A successful candidate will have prior experience in the apparel industry as well as managing retail locations. They will recruit and supervise a small team as well as work closely with key cross-functional partners located at Summersalt Headquarters, to communicate updates, challenges and ideas.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

    • Adopt a business owner mind-set and take full accountability for the success of the store.
    • Oversee all aspects of store performance through customer experience, customer satisfaction, sales management, operational and personnel functions, as well as store visual aesthetics and environment.
    • Lead and manage the store to drive selling, customer experiences and profitability.
    • Manage all types of operational tasks as assigned including: shipment, stockroom organization, order fulfillment, and inventory management.
    • Hire and train an exceptional team that supports the vision of Summersalt brand.
    • Create a culture that reflects a positive and inclusive experience for both the customers and employees.
    • Ensure the sales team delivers outstanding customer service by teaching, coaching and leading by example.
    • Maintain floor presence to assist customers and monitor client interaction
    • Provide real time and weekly feedback on technology functions, operations and experience.
    • Organize and distribute staff schedules.
    • Consistently provide performance feedback to ensure growth, change and results
    • Manage evolving daily workload while prioritizing the customer experience.

ABOUT YOU:
    • 5+ years relevant retail store management experience, ideally in fashion/apparel or experience opening a new retail store from the ground up.
    • Have a bachelor's degree or equivalent combo of education and experience.
    • Enjoy working hard and always see things through from start to finish
    • Ability to meet scheduling & availability expectations, including ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
    • Must be able to provide feedback, develop others, embrace and lead change, and make clear and defined decisions
    • Tech savvy with functional knowledge of Microsoft Office Suit and Google Suite
    • Ability to process information and merchandise through a POS system, preferably Shopify POS.
    • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs., perform frequent standing, walking, repetitive finger, hand and wrist motions, as well as bending, stooping, reaching, squatting, kneeling, pushing, pulling, climbing ladders, and work with cleaning chemicals
