Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Manager to join our team at Scotchman. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our convenience store, ensuring exceptional customer service, and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Store Manager to develop and implement business strategies to drive sales and customer engagement.
  • Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team of sales associates to provide excellent customer service and meet sales targets.
  • Manage inventory levels, including ordering, stocking, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.
  • Monitor and control store expenses, including labor costs, to ensure profitability.
  • Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote products and services to customers.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer complaints and concerns in a professional and timely manner.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and competitor activity to ensure Scotchman remains competitive.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in business or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a leadership role in a retail or convenience store environment.
  • Proven track record of driving sales growth and improving customer satisfaction.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse team.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
