Job Description Summary The Donor Engagement Officer will join a dynamic team of fundraising professionals devoted to advancing the mission and vision of Ringling College of Art and Design and all of its programs, including Sarasota Art Museum, Town Hall Lecture Series, Osher Lifelong Learning Institute, Ringling College Galleries and Exhibitions and Englewood Art Center. A key member of the Advancement team, the Donor Engagement Officer reports to the Director for Constituent Events and Hospitality and is responsible for ensuring effective, consistent communications with constituents of Ringling College of Art and Design. This position ensures that donors/prospects are educated, informed and engaged in programs of Ringling College of Art and Design. The Donor Engagement Officer will be a key strategist in the development of annual giving programs, advancement communications and donor engagement. This position will participate in the strategic planning for a multi-year fundraising and communications plan for the Office of Advancement.

Job Description

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Advancement Communications Work with Director of Constituent Events and Hospitality to develop an integrated donor/prospect communications plan to complement current fundraising objectives, achieve donor engagement goals and build donor loyalty and retention. Develop consistent communications, including newsletters, annual reports and program announcements to engage and inform constituents and expand awareness of Ringling College of Art and Design's mission/vision. Perform communications management and oversight including, but not limited to, annual planning and budgeting; working with consultants and vendors; coordinating dates and deadlines for communication projects; content development and list management.

Fundraising Strengthen the current fundraising program by developing a comprehensive communications and solicitation plan for annual giving. This plan aims to engage both current and potential donors, fostering stronger donor loyalty in the process. Drive mid-level fundraising efforts through segmented communications, including digital and print solicitations for annual giving. Establish a moves management program aimed at mid-level prospects and donors, and collaborate with Advancement Services to monitor communications and metrics for annual giving outcomes across various platforms. Enthusiastically interact with constituents and manage a portfolio of donors and prospects.

Events and Advancement Programs Participate in Advancement programs, including membership events, donor engagement events, donor recognition events and campaign fundraising events. Support the event management team in the execution of advancement events.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Ability to complete job duties, projects and assignments with general supervision. Demonstrated ability to write, create content and develop online programs. Demonstrated ability to perform data retrieval and learn new data systems. Strong decision-making abilities and accuracy with financial records, personal information and gift data. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail with the ability to track and manage multiple tasks. Proficiency in data entry, word processing and automated spreadsheets. Knowledge of database protocols. Possess a high level of interpersonal, customer service and human relations skills; ability to interact appropriately with a wide variety of personality types. Possess the ability to maintain composure under pressure from multiple demands. Understanding of basic accounting principles. Proficient in effective oral and written communication. Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and use of good judgment. Sufficient reasoning ability to make informed and intelligent decisions, while also maintaining a firm grasp of college policy and professional protocol. Knowledge of modern office practices, policies and procedures, including typing, filing, copying, faxing, email and telephone etiquette. Must present a professional appearance. Ability to work a flexible schedule as business necessitates.

Education and Experience

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree. 3-5 years of related experience. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Proficient in CRM database. Experience working with a variety of software programs.

Preferred Qualifications: Basic understanding of graphic design and communication tools. Experience developing and implementing annual campaigns. Experience in content management, writing and online giving. Raiser's Edge experience.
