Manage all aspects of purchase order administration for projects, from bidding to prequalified bidders, negotiation/execution of purchase orders, submitting notices and change orders and closing out contracts. Review purchase requests for pertinent and accurate information, prepare and execute requisition requests. Monitor market trends, competitor strategies and market supplies. Research and evaluate areas of opportunity and reduce costs where possible. Deliver briefs, updates and reports as and when required. Develop creative and innovative procurement processes. Lead and/or participate in Corporate Procurement training efforts. Utilize strategic sourcing, procurement and inventory systems and software (Workday) for preparing contracts, purchase orders, competitive bids, etc. Advise on any deviations from standard Terms and Conditions Perform the onboarding process for all bidders and develop bidders list for projects. Explore alternate sources for goods and services. Negotiate contracts, improved prices and terms of business with suppliers and review opportunities to make business savings utilizing negotiation and procurement best practice tools and methods. Coordinate with the following areas regularly: Audit, Compliance, Finance, Legal, and IT. What you need Bachelor’s degree in a related field OR three (3) years’ experience in contract preparation and review within a procurement environment, vendor management and/or supply chain management OR equivalent combination of education and/or work experience Project management and process improvement experience Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills and practices. Ability to read and comprehend legal contracting language. Experience redlining and negotiating contract terms and conditions. Ability to work independently, lead projects in a cross-functional team environment. Bonus if you have Previous government or corporate procurement experience. Working knowledge of specialty Source-To-Pay software. Working knowledge of Procurement protocols, policies and procedures.
