Position Overview:
Engage in the Research and Development initiatives of organizations with a project-centric focus.

Work collaboratively within interdisciplinary teams to pinpoint challenges, establish goals, and execute electro-mechanical or fluid control projects while emphasizing performance, cost-efficiency, and effectiveness.

Key Requirements:

  • At least 6 years of experience in product innovation
  • Proven success in R&D project environments
  • Skilled in creating, monitoring, and implementing project timelines
  • Capable of conducting experiments, gathering data, and extracting relevant insights
  • Prior experience in precision agriculture applications (liquid systems) or similar fields
  • Expertise in numerical analysis software (e.g., MATLAB, Maple, Mathematica)
  • Strong background in embedded systems
  • Proficient in programming with C or C++
  • Familiarity with Linux is advantageous
  • Proficient in MS Office applications
  • Willingness to travel (up to 25%) for field evaluations, potentially on a global scale

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and develop specifications for electrical and electronic systems, products, components, and applications through research initiatives and expertise in electrical materials and products
  • Actively participate in essential tasks for the design and management of products within the precision agricultural spray technology sector
  • Contribute to engineering design throughout all phases, including development, project oversight, prototyping, pre-production, validation, and ongoing product design management
  • Investigate and assess findings in both laboratory and real-world environments
  • Collaborate closely with production and procurement teams to identify and approve suppliers, conduct design and drawing evaluations, manage deviation requests, and provide necessary support and information
  • Assist in examining current product performance issues related to functionality, reliability, and user experience
  • Apply appropriate engineering methodologies, processes, and technologies to create cost-effective designs while adhering to relevant safety and environmental standards
  • Travel to distributor and client locations, supplier facilities, and field testing sites to engage in product assessments, address challenges, explore design alternatives, and offer manufacturing support
  • International travel may be required
  • Participate in software, policy, and procedural training sessions to enhance technical competencies and stay updated

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering with a specialization in Electrical, Software, and/or Computer, Automation disciplines
