Schedule:

This role is hybrid and requires 3 days a week in office. The working hours are between 9:00am - 5:00pm Monday - Friday.

OVERVIEW OF ROLE:

The Sales Forecast Analyst will hold a pivotal position in driving the forecasting process, fostering alignment across departments, and delivering crucial insights to inform strategic decision-making. This multifaceted role encompasses forecasting leadership, facilitation of the Integrated Business Planning process, and organizational alignment, all directed towards optimizing sales performance and bolstering operational efficiency.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Lead Sales Forecast process with C-Store and Foodservice team
  • Assist the field sales team in identifying trends, finding gaps in the forecast process, and provide suggestions based off in-depth analysis of shipments
  • Prepare and maintain relevant forecast reports pertaining to forecasting process.
  • Liaisons with Sales Operations Manager to support the Demand Plan, providing key insights on business drivers
  • Support the IBP (integrated business planning) process by documenting both base and incremental business, inclusive of LTO's
  • Provides input to Marketing and Operations teams on existing items, new products, and product phase-outs.
  • Measure and reports on Field Forecast Accuracy
  • Review and utilize Spins reports from distributors to determine and apply ratios for indirect customers
  • Support Sales Development Team and larger sales team on forecast drivers, explaining changes in future forecast and potential upsides/downsides on performance year-to-date
  • Facilitate monthly business reviews and proactively identifies customers/products for forecast review, issuing recap notes and assuring timely updates by sales team.
  • Develops, maintains and issues weekly and monthly sales reports detailing sales achievement vs. forecast and plan.
  • Utilize outside distributor online portal for creation of additional reporting needs.
  • Support Annual Operating Plan process including development of sales planning templates and identifying and documenting key year-on-year building blocks
  • Participates in cross-functional teams to support Sales Planning and other company initiatives
  • Develop ad hoc reports as needed.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor's Degree or Associate's degree combined with related work experience
  • 2-5 years of work experience in Food or CPG industry preferred
  • Experience working in a trade promotion management or forecasting system
  • High-level Excel Skills and Power-BI experience
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND ENVIRONMENT:
  • Must have camera on when attending all meetings
  • Must be able to perform the same duties, assignments, and other tasks when working remotely as they do when working in the Home Market Foods' office
