You'll find a collaborative team of coworkers and providers, as well as consistent hours.This role offers: A great work/life balance No weekends or evenings - Monday thru Friday Paid holidays and paid time off Rapidity growing team with opportunities for advancement Competitive compensation Benefits packageDuties you will be responsible for:Handle all administrative tasks and duties for the physician/providerServe as the liaison or coordinator for the patients medical careStreamline all patient-physician communications to ensure patient satisfactionProvide medical literature and clinical preparation instructions to patientsAssist patients with questions and/or concerns regarding proceduresSchedule all procedures to be performed by the physicianReview the physicians schedule for maximum scheduling efficiencySchedule all diagnostic tests, procedures and follow-up appointmentsObtains all authorizations for procedures and testsCall patient to confirm procedures a week in advanceSchedule follow-up appointments including recallsCheck-out patients at the end of their visit and provide next step instructions Logging and tracking of results Request medical records from doctors and hospitalsReturns patient calls promptly and professionallyCall-in new prescriptions and refills and obtain authorization if necessaryObtain lab results including stat requestsComplete tasks from Electronic Medical RecordReviews in-box tasks dailyContact patients with test resultsReschedules appts as neededSends history and physical forms to outpatient facilityOther duties as assignedMinimum Requirements:2+ years experience in healthcare administration roles High school diploma or GED equivalentOrganization skills are a mustMedical terminology knowledgeWe offer a comprehensive benefits package to our eligible employees: 401(k) retirement plans with employer Safe Harbor Non-Elective Contributions of 3% Discretionary profit-sharing contributions of up to 4% Health insurance Employer contributions to HSAs and HRAs Dental insurance Vision insurance Flexible spending accounts Voluntary life insurance Voluntary disability insurance Accident insurance Hospital indemnity insurance Critical illness insurance Identity theft insurance Legal insurance Paid time off Discounts at local fitness clubs Discounts at AT&TAdditionally, Gastro Health participates in a program called Tickets at Work that provides discounts on concerts, travel, movies, and more.Interested in learning more?
