Who They Are
Our client is a family-owned distributor of construction building materials with several entities under their umbrella based out of Springfield, MO. They are looking to find a skilled, cooperative, and strategic HR Manager for a very fast-past and growing segment of their business. This is overseeing roughly 200-250 with the expectation to have 2-3 direct reports under this role. Some responsibilities include coordinating with each division manager to complete the work ensuring compliance, administration, payroll processing and other administrative tasks, as well as employee orientation, training, and pre-screening for each business unit. What You'll Do

Communicate and help division leaders, foster a workplace environment consistent with the values and mission outline by the division leaders

Responsible for advising management to ensure company compliance with all federal, state, and local laws related to employee benefits, compensation, employment, and training

Remain current with changes in human resources and employment law and manage company relationships with state and local regulatory agencies

Advise management regarding all employee related matters including development, performance, discipline and terminations; oversee all aspects of employee terminations and additions

Oversee the administration of the on-boarding program as well as the development of new employee on-boarding plans

Facilitate and negotiate with direction from the board of directors as it relates to the companys benefit offering for employees

Ensure that all employee-related transactions and data are timely and accurately maintained

Ensure that all internal paperwork and issues are resolved in a timely manner with accuracy

Responsible for communicating to management on safety compliance

What You'll Need

Bachelor's degree

7+ years of diversified human resources assignments preferred

Knowledge of EEOC Laws, ADA and other State and Federal Regulations

Proven expertise in recruiting and employee relations

Ability to make a positive impact on the long-term success of the business

High Level consulting skills, including the ability to draw on the ideas of staff and operating management and convert them into meaningful strategies and plans

Able to establish and maintain excellent relationships and credibility quickly

Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills with the ability to architect and sell ideas

Unquestionable integrity, credibility, and character with demonstrated high moral and ethical behavior

An established track record in building a successful and effective human resource function as measured by corporate performance and senior management support
