Job DetailsJob LocationGreene - BH - Greensboro, GAPosition TypeFull TimeJob CategoryNonprofit - Social ServicesDescriptionPosition Summary:Under the direct supervision of the Director of Outpatient Clinics, implements, supervises and monitors the delivery of clinical services in the agency's outpatient clinic.Key Duties and Responsibilities:Oversees the day to day clinical operations of the outpatient clinic.Provides assistance in addressing issues related to access, triage, scheduling, referral, disciplinary actions and/or staff coverageProvides consultation and advises operational staff on clinical best practiceProvides clinical oversight of the clinical and case management staff at the clinicProvides administrative oversight to all employees assigned to the clinicAssures that clinical services at the outpatient clinical are adequate, appropriate and accessibleStays knowledgeable about guidelines and requirements that regulate provision of outpatient services, including, but not limited to: DBHDD Utilization Guidelines, CARF, ASO requirements, DBHDD contractual obligations, DATEP/HFR regulations, Advantage policies and procedures, etc.Ensures protocols are in place to ensure access to services. Collaborates with the Director of Outpatient Clinics and subordinate staff to address and problem solve barriers to accessMonitors flow of new clients into ongoing services and works to ensure adequate availability of groups and individual treatment based on identified needConducts individual, family, group and assessments as needed. Assists the Director of Outpatient Clinics with implementing and monitoring outpatient scheduling practices at the clinic and ensures that established protocols are being followedAt the direction of the Chief Clinical Officer and/or Director of Outpatient Services, collects data on access to services, treatment outcomes and client experienceIn conjunction with Advantages Human Resources Department, interviews, hires, directs, trains, evaluates the performance of, and when necessary, disciplines and discharges employeesDefines job expectations for each position/each employee and communicates those expectations clearlyMeets regularly with direct reports and documents meetings on Professional Development Logs or Team Meeting Minutes documentEvaluates direct reports at least annuallyFollows Advantages policies and procedures regarding disciplinary actionsIdentifies training needs and coordinates trainings/education for subordinate staffManages or delegates management of payroll, bi-weekly, for all direct reports and for the prescribers assigned to the clinicIn collaboration with the Director of Outpatient Clinics, monitors the clinic financial performance relevant to budget expectations and makes recommendations as neededDevelops and maintains collaborative working relationships with referral sources and partners within and outside the agencyMonitors and evaluates the effectiveness of services provided in the clinicEnsures referrals are reviewed and a disposition is made according to established timeframesMonitors chart audit scores for subordinate staff and establishes procedures to ensure an average score of 90+Attends conferences and training to facilitate best practices in programs and enhance relationships with community partners, as assignedEnsures that best clinical practices are being utilized in all outpatient programsReviews curriculum/psychoeducation and facilitates implementation of evidence based practicesPromotes a supportive team environment that represents the mission, vision and values of Advantage and creates a collaborative team approach to problem solving and planningAttends agency and external meeting and trainings, as assignedQualificationsMinimum Qualifications: Master's degree in a related area from an accredited college or university AND Two years of management of subordinate managers/supervisors in a human service delivery program OR Bachelor's degree in a related area from an accredited college or university AND Five years of experience, including three years of management of subordinate managers/supervisors in a human service delivery program OR related certification AND Two years of management of subordinate managers/supervisors in a human service delivery program OR Three years of experience required at the lower level Mgr 3, Social Svcs (SSM012) or position equivalent.Preferred Qualifications: Fully/independently licensed in the state of Georgia2+ years of supervisory experience A commitment and dedication to working with adults and youth with severe and persistent mental illnessAbility to respond to the crises within 45 minutesAbility to be on-call-by phone as needed. Ability to monitor/supervise staff in remote locationsOrganized and detailed orientedStrong clinical skills Knowledge of crisis intervention techniquesKnowledge of individual and group therapy techniquesKnowledge of various therapeutic models and intervention as directly related to area of assignmentComputer skills-ability to use an electronic health record and to document accurately same day as serviceAbility to work independently while still meeting defined benchmarks
