The Identity and Access Management Engineer (IAM) Engineer operates within the Global Information and Technology Secure Architecture Branch under the supervision of the Global IT Security Manager. This role is instrumental in maintaining a secure authentication and authorization environment by designing, implementing, and managing Identity and Access Management solutions across both on-premises and cloud-based environments. Proactively monitoring IAM systems and networks, the engineer detects potential security threats and incidents, conducting thorough investigations to identify root causes and assess their impact on access controls and security policies.
As an IAM Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in safeguarding our organization's access management infrastructure, ensuring secure and efficient access to critical resources. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to our IT security strategy, leveraging your expertise to protect our company's sensitive information and maintain a robust IAM framework.
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and manage Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions integrating both on-premises and cloud-based environments.
- Develop and enforce IAM policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Configure and maintain certificate authorities (CAs) and manage certificates across hybrid infrastructure.
- Implement and support multi-factor authentication (MFA) solutions to enhance security controls for accessing systems and applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate IAM solutions with existing on-premises and cloud-based systems and applications.
- Perform risk assessments and security audits related to IAM, certificate management, and MFA.
- Monitor and analyze IAM systems for security incidents and implement incident response procedures as needed.
- Stay current with emerging IAM technologies, multi-factor authentication solutions, and industry trends to continuously improve our IAM capabilities.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to talk or hear; is occasionally required to stand, walk, or sit for extended lengths of time; and requires specific vision abilities including close, color, and focusing. The job may required climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, couching, crawling, reaching, handling, finger dexterity. The incumbent will regularly lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.

Experience and Skills
Minimum Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field. A high school diploma, GED and/or equivalent combination of education and work experience may be considered.
- Minimum of Five (5) years of proven experience in designing and implementing IAM solutions with expertise in both on-premises and cloud-based environments.
- Minimum of Three (3) years' experience with IAM tools and platforms such as Azure AD, Okta, Ping Identity, etc., across hybrid environments.
- Strong understanding of PKI (Public Key Infrastructure) principles and technologies.
- Hands-on experience configuring and managing certificate authorities (CAs) and certificates.
- Knowledge of multi-factor authentication (MFA) solutions and their implementation in enterprise environments.
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work across teams and departments.
- Relevant industry security certifications (e.g., CompTIA, EC-Council, ISC2, ISACA, GIAC).
- Demonstrated experience in successfully managing projects, ensuring on-time delivery within budget and scope.
- Broad understanding of Information Technologies including applications, databases, hybrid, and cloud networking, enabling informed decision-making and strategic planning.
- Extensive background in leading IAM implementations, specifically in large-scale enterprise environments, with a focus on designing and deploying robust access management solutions.
- Ability to analyze complex situations, weigh costs and benefits, and make sound decisions that align with organizational objectives and security requirements.
- Proficiency in multitasking and prioritizing tasks effectively, providing clear visibility into workload management and strategic priorities for senior management.
- Proven capability to build and lead diverse technical teams, fostering a collaborative environment that leverages individual strengths to achieve collective goals and drive innovation.
