We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Employment Skills Trainer to join our NY WeCare team This position is based out of Jamaica, NY, with the potential for a hybrid arrangement that consists of working up to two days remotely and three days on-site. Performance metrics must consistently be met to maintain the hybrid schedule. Remote days may vary based on client demand.

In this role, you will be responsible for delivering comprehensive training programs aimed at equipping program participants with the necessary skills to secure and maintain meaningful employment. You will work closely with participants to enhance their employability through workshops, one-on-one coaching, and resume editing.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a deep understanding of employment trends, and a commitment to empowering others. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Present, train, and coach program participants on employment skills, resume writing, interview preparation, career exploration, life and soft skills, communication skills, etc.

- Prepare materials for training sessions and present training programs in a clear and concise manner.

- May select or develop teaching aids such as handbooks, models, visual aids, computer tutorials, and reference materials to support curriculum design.

- Track attendance in training sessions and notify appropriate staff of non-attendance when applicable.

- Make logistical arrangements for training sessions, including training facilities, course materials and audio-visual equipment.

- Assist in writing and evaluation of training aides.

- Continually monitor and assess participant progress throughout the learning process and adjust as needed to ensure knowledge transfer and applied understanding.

- Perform other duties as may be assigned by leadership.

Minimum Requirements

- High school diploma or GED required and 0-2 years of relevant professional experience required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Bilingual in Spanish is required.

Pay Transparency

Maximus compensation is based on various factors including but not limited to job location, a candidate's education, training, experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value analysis including seniority and merit systems, as well as internal pay alignment. Annual salary is just one component of Maximus's total compensation package. Other rewards may include short- and long-term incentives as well as program-specific awards. Additionally, Maximus provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off. Compensation ranges may differ based on contract value but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience. An applicant's salary history will not be used in determining compensation. Maximus will comply with regulatory minimum wage rates and exempt salary thresholds in all instances.
