Job Description:

Basic Purpose: The purpose of the Specialist role is to support the Healthcare Analytics Solutions Contracting organization with all deliverables related to internal contract review and management processes utilizing Smartsheet, SharePoint, Salesforce CRM, DocuSign, and Microsoft Office. The Specialist, Contracts/RFPs will manage day-to-day administration of new and existing contracts. Additionally, the role will oversee and maintain the database of standard proposal language and serve as a backup to the Contracts Manager for advanced Contract requests.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Intake all internal client contract review requests and evaluate each requirement based on documented, end-to-end, internal contract review processes. This includes triaging contract requests from Sales to ensure all information required to formulate a contract is provided.

• Perform quality control check on contracts drafts, (i.e. editing, formatting).

• Accurately route all contract reviews for redlines, negotiations, and finalized documentation via DocuSign workflows to fully execute contracts as required.

• Ensure each contract follows the documented process for contracting and adhere to the required timelines for contract review. This includes tracking past and active client contracts from end-to-end within Smartsheet, SharePoint, Salesforce CRM and Microsoft Office)

• Produce regular and ad-hoc reports to aid in contracting efforts (e.g. contract start/end dates, pricing, SLAs, etc.), and input data into systems like Salesforce, Microsoft Office 365 applications and Smartsheet.

• Support the development of key contract metrics including TAT, accuracy, and adherence to required processes; follow-up with internal stakeholders in support of contracts and reporting.

• Assist with contract process audits and quality improvement projects.

• Maintain a database of standard contract language, ensuring that all contract language is reviewed and validated by SMEs, and in line with policies for external communication protocols at Quest Diagnostic s.

• Identify concerning legal, business, and operational contract terms included in contracts and engage business leaders, as necessary.

• Serve as a backup to the Contracts Manager for advanced Contract activities and to other Commercial Operations team members as needed.

Qualifications:

Education Preferred: • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred

Work Experience: • 5 years contracts and negotiation experience in coordination with and adherence to organizational processes

• Experience coordinating with other business units, like Sales, assembling contracts.

• Corporate paralegal experience a plus

• Healthcare experience a plus

Other: • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365

• Familiarity with applications like Salesforce and DocuSign a plus

• Outstanding interpersonal and written communication skills.
