About the Company: Nonprofit Facility Title: Senior AP Accountant Location: San Diego - Hybrid (4 days a week onsite) Salary: $80-105k Base Description: Support the Accounts Payable team with general ledger account reconciliations, preparing cash forecasts, analyzing, and preparing state and federal reports. Responsibilities: Records accounting transactions and prepares financial/accounting analyses, schedules, statements, reconciliations, and reports for accounts such as accounts payable, accrued liabilities, prepaid expenses and other liabilities. Assistance with system implementations. Assist auditors as appropriate. Coordinates with Accounts Receivable team. Researches and follows up on outstanding checks. Processes, reports, and reconciles California sales and use tax. Ensures accurate and timely reporting of California Employment Development Department (EDD) requirements for independent contractors, including 1099 forms and related filings. Processes and ensures compliance with IRS regulations on non-resident alien taxation. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree, preferably in accounting or business. 3 years progressively responsible accounting experience. Experience with any large ERP Oracle cloud systems, NetSuite, Great Plains, Workday. Understanding of GAAP principles, and internal controls. Strong Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) skills.
