Position Overview The Product Data Specialist plays a key product data role within the Hillsboro, NH marketing team (this can be a remote position if within a couple of hours of our headquarters). The marketing team is responsible for all aspects of marketing from advertising and communications, new product launches, product data management, retailer-specific in-store signage and merchandising, omni-channel excellence, research, and tradeshows. The Product Data Specialist reports into the Catalog Data/Digital Marketing Manager and will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of our product data to be used on Sylvania-Automotive.com and our retailer websites and POS. This role is critical to ensure we create a strong foundation to manage and grow our digital business, providing a positive customer experience. This role requires intense attention to detail and understanding of data architecture, project management, and product management systems, and establishing best practices in the organization. Primary Responsibilities : Application & Product Information Management System: Lead projects like establishing global PIM Platform (Stibo) and database UI focused on data quality, data governance, automated source data normalizing, and best-in-class processes to support scalable efforts with the evolving needs of our company and industry. Gather, organize, and execute product information updates and product lifecycle changes within internal and external systems (e.g., Syndigo/RiverSand) to ensure fast and accurate product introductions and maintenance. Execute and coordinate regular audits of AAIA Database Changes, Receiver Assessment Reports, Catalog Interchanges, Sylvania-Automotive.com, and retail partner ecommerce sites to ensure accuracy and quality of listings. Ensure accurate and on-time ACES & PIES deliveries to receivers on a regular cadence while keeping detailed records in company PMS (Monday.com). Manage application data discrepancy processes including OEM research, analysis, normalization, record-keeping, and reporting within internal system/documentation. Serve as the first point of contact for any data issues from stakeholders to ensure prompt and accurate resolution. eCommerce Product Management: Collaborate with Digital Marketing Specialist to ensure product content is optimized for performance and Search Engine Optimization (SEO) where applicable. Data Management: Establish and maintain database standards, industry best practices, and content of internal knowledge sharing/documentation repositories including documenting processes, workflows, and queries, formulas, and database architectures. Look for opportunities to streamline and improve workflows and processes with a laser focus on operational excellence and continuous improvement to data quality. Leverage machine learning/AI (Artificial Intelligence) and other system capabilities to simplify and scale product data solutions for long-term efficiency. Work cross-functionally with Product, Marketing, Sales, and IT teams to develop and manage work plans related to PIM, product, and application database projects, ensuring team and retailer goals are met. Utilize company PMS, Monday.com, for full team transparency of all tasks and project management with impeccable record keeping. Project Management: Participate in department meetings and perform other tasks and related duties as assigned. Who we are looking for Bachelors degree in Information Management, Computer Science, Data Science/Analytics, Engineering, or related field, proven working experience in product information or master data management, as well as big data QA. Must be a resourceful, technically savvy, and detail-oriented team player who has had success in working with cross-functional teams/projects. Minimum 3+ years hands-on experience with the following criteria: Strong analytical abilities: able to dig into complex data sets to help inform decisions. Proven results in defining product roadmap goals and exceeding them. Superior problem solving and analytical skills. Takes a holistic data-driven approach to problem solving and decisions and draws upon business insight where information is incomplete. Expert Microsoft Excel and SQL experience required, comfortable manipulating, leveraging, and auditing large data sets (>1MM rows) and conceptualizing database architecture. Superior attention to detail and time management, working within specified deadlines. Experience with eCommerce or digital product management. Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) with the ability to collaborate with internal and external business partners. Proven ability to conduct and coordinate coaching/training for internal and external stakeholders. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects, with excellent time management skills. Previous experience in automotive or industrial data is a plus. Previous experience with a PIM (Syndigo or Stibo), FileZilla, project management software (JIRA, ZoHo, or Monday.com), SQL/no-SQL, and Python. Basic understanding of SEO best practices is a plus.
