They are recruiting a Field Service Representative in the Ann Arbor, MI office. As stated above Horiba Automotive designs, manufactures, and repairs a variety of test equipment and products. The specific need on the emissions side of the team where they are supporting the emissions test equipment on-site at various automotive clients. They have an influx of work on-site at GM where a bulk of the travel will take place. Although the influx of work is due to GM testing, the Field Service Engineer will visit various customer sites within the US.
75% travel - with their home location being in Ann Arbor
KEY RESPONSIBLITIES:
-Installs, repairs and maintains products at customer site; performs in-house repairs of defective customer equipment.
-Maintains customer repair facilities, including calibration, repair and maintenance of toxic gas monitoring system, maintaining and customer test equipment, etc.
- Provides technical assistance to the customer, including parts and technical question research and assisting with Requests for Quotations.
- Prepare Field Service Reports with sufficient detail for customer invoicing, warranty charges, labor and materials charges, and policy.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Requires in-depth knowledge of electronics repair and ability to troubleshoot to component level - this experience can be in any capacity. Industrial equipment, small parts electronics, as long as they have knowledge on equipment service. The least desirable be from commercial/residential repairs.
- In-depth knowledge of electronic test equipment.
- Must be able to drive an automobile and possess a valid driver's license.
- 75% travel is required.
PREFERRED:
- Emissions level troubleshooting & repair
- Technical Associate's Degree
- Candidates that come from a competitor - AVL or any emissions equipment supplier
