We’re Looking for an ‘A’ Player
We are looking for an experienced and creative Social Media Manager to join our team to oversee both the organic and advertising aspects of our social media presence. In this role, you will be responsible for developing strategies to grow and engage our audience organically while also managing and executing paid advertising campaigns to drive cost-efficient traffic acquisition and conversions.
Reporting directly to the VP of Marketing and collaborating closely with our dynamic Marketing team, you will also oversee additional team members. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a solid track record of analyzing campaign and platform performance data, refining strategies for optimal outcomes, and delivering insightful reports to stakeholders.

Responsibilities:
Social Media Advertising & Campaign Management – 70%
Develop and execute comprehensive social media advertising strategies to meet business objectives and targets.
Create, manage, and optimize paid advertising campaigns on platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, and other relevant channels.
Collaborate with the marketing team to align advertising efforts with overall marketing initiatives and campaigns.
Conduct thorough audience research and segmentation to identify target demographics and tailor advertising content accordingly.
Create compelling ad copy, visuals, and multimedia content that resonates with target audiences and adheres to brand guidelines.
Monitor advertising performance metrics such as reach, engagement, click-through rates, CPM, cost-per-acquisition, conversion rates, and return on ad spend (ROAS).
Analyze campaign data and insights to identify trends, optimize performance, and make data-driven decisions to improve campaign effectiveness.
Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in social media advertising to continuously enhance strategies and tactics.
Collaborate with creative teams, content creators, and other stakeholders to produce high-quality advertising materials.
Stay informed about platform policies, guidelines, and regulations to ensure compliance with advertising standards and requirements.
Experiment with new advertising formats, targeting options, and optimization techniques to drive innovation and maximize results.
Manage advertising budgets effectively, allocate resources efficiently, and track expenditures to ensure campaigns are delivered within budget constraints.
Provide regular reports and updates on advertising performance, insights, and recommendations to stakeholders and senior management.
Organic Social Media Strategy – 30%
Manage and grow our organic social media presence across various platforms including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, and TikTok.
Conduct regular analysis of organic social media performance metrics such as reach, engagement, impressions, and follower growth, and leverage insights to optimize content strategy.
Stay informed about platform algorithm changes, best practices, and trends in organic social media marketing, and adjust strategies accordingly.
Develop and maintain relationships with influencers, brand ambassadors, and partners to amplify our brand reach and engagement.
Establish key performance indicators to understand the efficacy of existing social media platform usage and adjust strategy for further optimizations
Help identify ways to optimize organic social channels to build top-of-funnel awareness and build paid campaign audiences
Communicate with industry experts and influencers via social media to create a strong network
Lead weekly/monthly social monitoring reporting and insights, acting as eyes and ears for the rest of the marketing team
Identify key themes and trends, share insights, and promptly escalate risk issues to the team
Lead the Digital Marketing Specialist responsible for publishing content and mentor on A/B testing, community management, and platform best practices.
Use social media marketing tools such as Sprout Social.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Advertising, Marketing, or a related field.
Proven experience (10+ years) in social media advertising management, with a focus on campaign planning, execution, and optimization.
In-depth knowledge of social media platforms, advertising tools, targeting options, and best practices.
Proficiency in analytics and data interpretation, with the ability to analyze campaign performance metrics and derive actionable insights.
Strong creative and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to develop innovative advertising concepts and solutions.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate ideas, present findings, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management skills, capable of handling multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Up-to-date with the latest trends, developments, and advancements in social media advertising and digital marketing.
Experience with advertising platforms such as Facebook Ads Manager, Google Ads, LinkedIn Ads, Twitter Ads, etc.
Certifications in social media advertising (e.g., Facebook Blueprint, Google Ads certification) are a plus.
Experience in e-commerce and paid social strategies optimized for ROI.
Experience using a project management and workflow tool – Asana, Monday.com, Basecamp, etc. – to help track and collaborate on work.
Keen attention to detail and accuracy, applying that skill to tasks such as proofing copy, creating UTM/tracking parameters, and measuring creative performance.
Passionate about a startup culture and adding to it.
Preferred, but not required: agency experience or experience with agricultural products.
