Job Description

Climate Pros LLC, a leader in the commercial refrigeration industry, is seeking a meticulous and organized Senior Staff Accountant to join our dynamic Finance Team at our Glendale Heights, Illinois office. In this role, you will be at the heart of our financial operations, interacting with all levels of management and playing a crucial role in ensuring our financial processes are seamless and accurate.

As a Senior Staff Accountant, you will bring your expertise in financial analysis, reporting, and process improvement to help drive our company's success. Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Month-end closing activities including:
  • Prepare and record journal entries including but not limited to accruals, prepaid, fixed assets, rebates, and adjustments
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts to the general ledger
  • Assist with the annual audit process by providing auditors with requested financial documents
  • Maintain written procedures for assigned duties
  • Increase automation in routine transaction processes
  • Diligent in meeting all processing and reporting deadlines
  • Manage building lease documentation, summary, and deposit reconciliation
  • Ownership of Rebates Accounting
  • Serve as backup for Fixed Asset, Union, Service and Inventory Accounting
  • Manage Government Census Survey Submission

Desired Skills, Certifications, and Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in Accounting.
  • CPA certification is a plus.
  • Experience in Fixed Asset Accounting is a plus.
  • Highly organized and process-driven.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to implement corrective actions.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excels in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective time management skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Dependable professional with a strong work ethic and a positive attitude.
  • Be an honest team player, growth-oriented, ability to do whatever it takes; safely


Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

Normal office environment. Occasional light lifting of office equipment, materials and boxes; frequent walking and standing; requires dexterity in use of fingers for the operation of computers and other office equipment. Regularly required to sit; occasionally required to stand; walk; occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds; noise level is usually quiet. All employees may be required to visit a customer site and/or complete a ride along with a field technician as part of their employment.
