The Staff/Senior Accountant is responsible for maintaining financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. This role supports the accounting team by performing various accounting tasks and assisting in financial audits.


Key Responsibilities:

General Ledger Maintenance:

- Record, classify, and summarize financial transactions.

- Reconcile general ledger accounts.

- Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.

Financial Reporting:

- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.

- Prepare and review journal entries and ensure proper documentation.

- Assist with budget preparation and variance analysis.

Accounts Payable/Receivable:

- Process invoices, payments, and expense reports.

- Manage accounts receivable, including invoicing and collections.

- Reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable statements.

Compliance and Controls:

- Ensure adherence to internal controls and accounting policies.

- Assist with compliance reporting and regulatory requirements.

- Participate in the implementation of new accounting procedures or improvements.

Audit and Documentation:

- Prepare documentation for external audits.

- Support audit processes by providing requested information and explanations.

- Maintain accurate and organized records of financial transactions.

Additional Duties:

- Analyze financial data and trends to support decision-making.

- Identify areas for cost control and process improvements.

- Assist with special projects, and perform other accounting duties as assigned

- Collaborate with other departments to gather necessary financial information.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

- Proven experience in accounting or finance roles.

- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.

- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.

- Strong organizational and time-management skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.

Working Conditions:

- Office environment with standard working hours; may require occasional overtime.

- May involve working under tight deadlines and handling multiple tasks simultaneously.
