VIE - R&D Engineer (ADFORS) - H/F

ADFORS is seeking a VIE to complete technical work supporting the development of new technical textile products. By joining the Adfors team, you will survey literature to find innovative materials and techniques, apply the learned principles to the development of prototypes, and characterize the resulting materials. You will also support our manufacturing sites worldwide and assist with pilot trials for the newly developed products. Being an active member of our R&D team based in SGR North America center, you will be integrated in our multifunctional teams including Marketing, Innovation, Operations, Purchase.
The main role
- Survey literature to find new materials and processing techniques,
- Collaborate with teams to develop test methods and textile prototypes,
- Evaluate prototypes and complete data analysis,
- Report findings to team in presentation and report formats,
- Learn about manufacturing techniques and scale up prototypes,
- Exchange with other team members and competence labs.
Ce poste est-il fait pour vous ?
Our role is made for you if you recognize yourself in the following:
- Master's degree in Material science, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineer, Mechanical Engineer or Chemistry degree,
- Knowledge in technical textile and/or mechanical engineering would be an asset,
- Creative problem-solving mindset with a hands-on approach,
- Ability to analyze data and write reports in a clear way,
- Possess strong interpersonal and organizational skills,
- Work safely and effectively with a diverse R&D team actively supporting a culture of safety Experience with formulation preparation and characterization is preferred,
- Capable of working independently and with project teams,
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
