Description

This position is responsible for assisting the Lending Department in all aspects of the lending support functions. Communicates and works with vendors, members and/or colleagues to rectify complex or escalated issues. Record liens and release liens on consumer loans and real estate loans secured with collateral. Maintain member loan records and files. Prepare and scan documents accurately. Track the receipt of perfected and outstanding titles, and assist both staff and members with title questions or insurance needs. Help train and assist new departmental team members in their development of Lending Support functions and knowledge.

Requirements

  • Fund indirect loans and process them into the data system daily. Verify accuracy when physical contract arrives, scan and file appropriately.
  • Monitor various reports on a daily basis; process paid loans, loan files and release titles, liens, and HELOC deeds of trust.
  • Review signed HELOC paperwork for accuracy and record deeds of trust where applicable.
  • Process escalated, advanced, or complex maintenance and research requests from members.
  • Verifies completed documentation including title application, loan agreement, fees, and sales tax for the transfer of ownership and/or lienholder and submit to the motor vehicle office of the borrower(s) residence. Ensures that lien interest for titled collateral is perfected within regulatory guidelines.
  • Train and assist Loan Support Representative I staff with learning Lending Support concepts and functions.
  • Prepare and audit title documentation, draw fees and process paperwork to secure liens on collateral. Input and track receipt of titles utilizing the appropriate databases.
  • Process insurance and Gap claims.
  • Account research and problem resolution.
Qualifications:
  • One to three years of of Consumer Loan Servicing, Lending Support, or similar experience. A demonstrated knowledge of the functions in the department.
  • Work involves extensive personal contact with others and is of a personal or sensitive nature. Motivating, influencing, and/or training others is key at this level. Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary and often requires the ability to influence and/or sell ideas or services to others.
  • A high school diploma or GED.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written.

This is a full-time, non-exempt position with an hourly rate starting at $23.00/hour depending on experience, education and qualifications.
