Patient Navigator Specialist 2612614 A leading medical institution is seeking an Events Administrator. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting overall daily administrative operations for cardiology sub-specialty programs located primarily at two campuses and for serving as a non-clinical resource and liaison for patients and their families. The ideal candidate has one or more years of related work experience. Patient Navigator Specialist Pay and Benefits: Hourly pay: $40/hr Worksite: Leading medical institution (San Francisco, CA 94158 - Hybrid) W2 Employment, Group Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Retirement Savings Program, PSL 40 hours/week, 6 Month Assignment Patient Navigator Specialist Responsibilities: Provide support during patient stay or clinic visit; facilitate scheduling, link patients to services across the health system. Address patient grievances at the point of service. Identify appropriate resources as needed. Utilize unit or clinic operations knowledge to propose new workflows or methods to increase future patient satisfaction. Gather and document patient issues, barriers, or concerns through regular patient visits and open communications with families. Provide reports for management review and planning to increase patient satisfaction. Provide new patients with an overview of resources and general information on billing, scheduling, and locating resources for clinical questions or concerns. Collect and provide meaningful use and/or relevant operations data and metrics. Participate in medical center committees or task forces and other special projects as required to support improvements in the patient experience. Assist as liaison with other departments to facilitate improved coordination of care. Anticipate patient care coordination needs; provide a general road map to patients to set expectations. Patient Navigator Specialist Qualifications: 1+ years of related work experience. Bachelor's degree in a related area. New patient scheduling/coordination and medical records retrieval. Knowledge of patient rights & responsibilities, joint commission standards, and centers for medicare/medicaid regulations. Knowledge of medical Terminology. Knowledge of data collection, compilation, and analytical techniques. Comprehend and assess patient's grievances to quickly locate appropriate resources for assistance. Working knowledge of the organization and how to get issues resolved. Solid interpersonal and customer service skills. Ability to be diplomatic and highly organized. Ability to remain calm under pressure and apply sound judgment. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, demanding environment with minimal supervision. Ability to manage and oversee multiple tasks simultaneously, including high daily call volume. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Proficiency with Windows-based software including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Knowledge of computer systems and software used in functional areas. Patient Navigator Specialist Shift: Monday to Friday from 08:30 am to 5:00 pm.
