Acts as a communication liaison to understand the patient's non-clinical individual needs, desires, and concerns. Guides the patient and family to a broad range of services, amenities, and information to promote healing and ensure satisfaction with the patient care experience. Under the supervision of the Practice Manager, this position makes a difference for patients in an outpatient care unit for UCSF's Cardiac Electrophysiology with a reputation for excellence in the evaluation and treatment of patients with a variety of cardiac arrhythmias. An experienced team of academic cardiac electrophysiologists, as well as expert nurses and technicians, are devoted to the care of patients with abnormal heart rhythms. The Patient Navigator provides excellent customer service, facilitating and ensuring the accuracy of the information flow between medical, hospital staff and departments to maximize unit efficiency. The Patient Navigator is required to work at any UCSF campus as needed and scheduled. The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy. Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.
