The Event Manager serves as the liaison between the client and stadium operations from preparation through the execution of all stadium events. This position will report to the General Manager of Facilities & Events.

This is a full-time position located in Louisville, KY with a competitive salary and benefits.Must be willing to work nights, weekends, and some holidays as necessary, in addition to regular business hours.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serve as the primary contact for all private and special events at Lynn Family Stadium.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external clients.
  • Ensure accurate scheduling and timing of events.
  • Coordinate with food & beverage provider to ensure catering details are accurate and within the allotted budget.
  • Lead day-of coordination and execution of all Stadium events (load-in, setup, breakdown).
  • Prepare event resumes and scaled room diagrams for distribution.
  • Collaborates with operations on event setup and breakdown; ensuring specifications are communicated and completed.
  • Work with counterparts within the marketing department to ensure that the website, social media, and other digital content are up to date with relevant information, dates, and photos.
  • Responsible for safety walks before gates on event days; coordinates security assignments for events.
  • Prepare event summaries noting attendance, times, significant problems, etc.
  • Assist in hiring event personnel to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Regularly assess the effectiveness of processes & procedures; make recommendations for improvement.
  • Other duties and special projects as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college in event management or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in an event coordinator or customer service-related role.
  • Experience working in sports, entertainment, or corporate organizations preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills both oral and written.
  • Ability to maintain excellent client/customer relations and work in a team setting.
  • Strong PC skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Ability to meet the schedule requirements of the position.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment comprehensive background check.
  • Must be legally authorized or able to obtain authorization to work in the U.S.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Must be able to walk significant distances, including up and down stairs, as required throughout the venue, as well as stand, sit, walk, bend, kneel, climb, grasp, stretch, stoop, and reach above head in conjunction with tasks.

Must be able to work in moderate to very loud environments.

Ability and willingness to work in all types of adverse weather conditions (i.e., heat, rain, cold, snow, wind).

SCHEDULE:

This is a full-time position that will require regular working non-standard hours including weekends, evenings, and holidays, in addition to regular business hours.

ABOUT OUR CLUB:

Soccer Holdings, LLC., is the parent company of professional soccer clubs Louisville City FC (USL Championship) and Racing Louisville FC (NWSL). Both teams call Lynn Family Stadium in the Butchertown neighborhood home and operate out of the nearby Lynn Family Sports Vision & Training Center. Louisville City launched in 2015 and quickly established a winning tradition, claiming USL titles in 2017 and 2018. Racing Louisville FC joined the NWSL as an expansion member in 2021, bringing top-tier professional sports back to Kentucky for the first time in nearly 50 years.
