Event Coordinator

21c Museum Hotels is seeking a highly motivated Event Server to join our team. As a key member of our events team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and promoting our unique blend of art and hospitality.
The ideal candidate will be thorough, task-oriented, and able to effectively complete tasks of varying importance. You will be part of a diverse workforce serving a diverse clientele and will be able to relate to people from a variety of backgrounds.
Key Responsibilities- Execute events with precision and attention to detail, working closely with other team members.
- Interact with Event Captains and Event Managers to ensure seamless event service.
- Set up and tear down events according to BEOs, request sheets, and Event Captain instructions.
- Provide exceptional customer service to all guests, not just those attending events.
- Take orders, serve food and drinks, and clear tables as needed.
- Follow the steps of service for each specific type of event.
- Demonstrate knowledge of procedures, terminology, and techniques used in the B&C department.
- Demonstrate knowledge of ingredients of all food and beverage items served and available for the function.
- Stay up-to-date on hours, features, and services offered by 21c Museum Hotels.
- Demonstrate a positive, proactive, and motivated attitude in any situation.
- Work effectively in a team for large events and solo for smaller meetings.
- Report to work on time and ready to work scheduled shifts.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
- Responsibility, dependability, and punctuality.
- Basic math skills.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to speak, read, and understand English.
- Clean and professional appearance.
- Enthusiasm for all things 21c.
- Beverage knowledge, particularly spirits, beer, wine, and especially Bourbon.
- Pass a background check.
