**Job Summary**

This position is responsible for production planning and scheduling in the plant for all Adfors Albion product lines. The incumbent reports directly to the Operations Manager. Key responsibilities also include: the customer service function, on-time delivery performance, logistics and controlling and managing the inventory of the manufacturing operation.

**Required Qualifications**

**Principle End Results**

* Planning and scheduling of all products produced in the Albion facility. Develop optimized and prioritized production schedules for all departments.

* Monitors customer orders, customer centric focused on delivery of all products on time to customer demand, measures delivery performance and implements solutions to continuously improve customer delivery and satisfaction and inventory investment. The incumbent interfaces with the Albion manufacturing facility performing activities including delivery, responding to emergencies, providing order status, current backlogs, provides feedback and recommendations for anticipated staffing requirements for effective operation and balanced work loads.

* Interfaces closely with Supply Chain to understand planning windows and forecasts for demand and fluctuation including drop in orders and over forecast situations to relay information on expedited items, priority levels, and request for increased materials.

* Partner with Supply Chain to measure and monitor safety stock levels and usage of raw materials to reduce and eliminate excess and obsolete inventory.

* Maintain close communications with customer service and product managers to ensure customer expectations are being met including monitoring development and adherence to master schedules to meet or exceed customer expected deliveries.

* Lead and oversee planners to optimize schedules are optimized for customer delivery performance and operational efficiency.

* Productivity and Cost: Use reliable metrics to identify and improve inventory management control.

* Dedicated to serve on facility committees, i.e., WCM, Customer Development Pillar, Continuous Improvement.

* Understands Lean Manufacturing Principles (Value Stream Maps, Plan for Every Part and Time to Replenish Models, and Kanban) and participates, supports and is familiar with Continuous Improvements methodology as it relates to WCM initiatives.

* Measure and monitor inventory accuracy via cycle count accuracy, inventory adjustments, $ levels by inventory type and inventory turns.

* Create, distribute and track Cement Board Master build plans against specific markets and schedules.

* Must have strong computer skills proficient with MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Familiarity with MS Access.

* Must work safely and independently. Wears required safety equipment, hearing protection, safety shoes, and safety glasses. Follow lockout/tag out procedures, as necessary. Uses all safety devices associated with equipment. Keeps work area in order and clean per company 5S standards. Performs SMAT/TFs and other audit programs.

* The position requires a good knowledge of the various product lines, production processes, plant capabilities, and customer requirements.

**Additional Description**

**Background and Skills**

The incumbent is required to have a BS degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Engineering or related area. The candidate will have 5+ years of work-related experience. Lean Manufacturing skills preferred.
