IntelliSource is searching for a Field Service Engineer to join our biotech partner’s team in the Charlottesville area. This role will be traveling around the Charlottesville area servicing gas chromatography equipment vital to our partner’s operations. This entry-level role comes with robust training and great long-term growth potential within the team and department. Must be willing to travel within the Charlottesville regional area. Field Service Engineer - Responsibilities: You will be responsible for supporting our customers with on-site installation, implementation, maintenance and repair of company and multi-vendor gas-chromatography systems. Our varied product lines include hardware, software, and networking products as well as operating systems. Installs and optimizes hardware/software/network products and configurations at customer sites Diagnoses and resolves product performance problems Performs maintenance and repairs Ensures customer satisfaction by advising customers on preventive maintenance and configurations, which may impact product performance Proactively responds to potential equipment issues to prevent unplanned interruption of customers' business Deliver fully integrated solutions, which may include peripherals, communications, operating systems and applications software Train other field engineers and customers in the solutions Field Service Engineer - Job Requirements: This position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship Bachelor's Degree within the science field – e.g. Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or similar Strong technical skills Demonstrated ability in a similar position or as an end-user preferred 1-2 years’ Experience with GC/GC-MS instruments preferred Experience with troubleshooting and problem-solving Verbal and written communication is clear, respectful and timely.
