POSITION SUMMARY
The Technical Analyst II position will provide advanced technical support for JJC faculty, staff and students. In addition to providing the same support as the Technical Analyst I position, the Technical Analyst II will be responsible for the oversight of activity within an assigned service area and will provide leadership and supervision of an assigned team. The Technical Analyst II's advanced knowledge and skills will ensure all incident and service requests are addressed in a professional and timely manner. The Technical Analyst II will be expected to have strong communication skills as the TSMS liaison within a service area.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Provide advanced support and expert technical advice of hardware and software incident resolution.
2. Provide leadership and supervision of assigned team members.
3. Serve as lead for lab/multidevice lifecycle replacements; including data collection and reporting, planning, communicating with impacted users, and supervisor of assigned team for physical work.
4. Collaborate with other divisions/departments to ensure minimal disruption of service and support for impacted areas; i.e. ISO, Purchasing, Custodial, Construction, OSA, etc.
5. Review and contribute-to proposals for new technologies. Champion the addition of innovative ideas and new technologies as the TSMS liaison for that service area.
6. Ensure the functionality of technical equipment within an assigned service area.
7. Organizer and technician of virtual and hybrid meetings, events and classes.
8. Collaborate to write and approve documentation, scripts and program code.
9. Contribute to the data collection, organization and upkeep of the asset management database.
10. Collaborate with the network administrator in the development and testing of desktop/laptop images.
11. Collaborate and supervise the purchase, receive and check-in, distribution, collection and disposal of hardware.
12. Provide the same support as the Technical Analyst I position, including, but not limited to: helpdesk phones and data entry. Computer, display and peripheral hardware and software support. Installation, troubleshooting, and repair of TSMS equipment.
13. Perform other related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
1. Associate Degree in Computer Science or related field (equivalent formal training, credit course(s) work, or work-related experience will be considered).
2. A+ Certification.
3. Five (5) years of computer support experience.
4. Strong writing and organizational skills for data entry.
5. Excellent communication and customer service skills.
6. Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with other members of the college and community, displaying cultural competence as well as emotional intelligence.
7. Demonstrated commitment to the college's core values of respect and inclusion, sustainability, integrity, collaboration, humor and well-being, innovation, and quality.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
1. Management training and leadership experience.
2. PMI certification.
3. Apple certification.
4. English and Spanish verbal and written communication proficiency.
5. Demonstrated multicultural competence.



WORK SCHEDULE
1. 40 hours per week
2. Shift start time is seniority dependent


PHYSICAL DEMANDS
1. Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
2. Requires bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, and ladder use.
3. Campus is large and employees are expected to walk multiple miles within 8hr. shift.

WORKING CONDITIONS
1. Most duties performed indoors; some exterior work may be required.
2. Some travel might be needed. Travel expenses will be reimbursed in accordance with college policies and procedures. Properly scheduled public transportation and other sustainability minded options are encouraged.

Internal candidates must adhere to the terms of employment regarding length of time in current position as outlined in their union contract.
