Compliance Analyst

Are you an analytical professional with strong communication skills and knowledge of compliance principles? If so, you might be a great fit for our Compliance Analyst position. The Compliance Analyst is responsible for completing regulatory compliance analysis and research, identifying issues and/or areas for improvements and working with management to develop action plans to ensure compliance risks are effectively mitigated and any identified issues are corrected. While management will retain the responsibility for ensuring the credit union is in compliance with regulations, the Compliance Analyst will be a key resource, helping management understand the applicable requirements and regulations for each department.
What we are looking for
The ideal candidate will thrive in an environment where their assignments are varied and may be complex in nature. He or she must be a team player who can work with functional leaders to update policies and procedures, respond to questions requiring compliance research and assist in training employees in compliance topics as needed. Strong interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently and maintain strict confidence are a must. A qualifying candidate should have a bachelor's degree in a related field or three to five years of related job experience, strong time management skills, critical thinking skills and a strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel. He or she should also hold or be able to attain the appropriate compliance certification within 12 months of hiring. Banking or credit union experience is preferred, with knowledge of both federal and state laws and regulations affecting Town & Country Credit Union or the ability to build upon a demonstrated knowledge of compliance resources and procedures.
