Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to assist our Senior Accountant with various accounting tasks while ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). This position offers an excellent opportunity for growth in a dynamic and supportive work environment.

About the Role:

  • Perform daily general ledger reconciliations.
  • Reconcile cleared checks daily and follow up on any unusual items.
  • Ensure proper general ledger coding on invoices.
  • Assist with Accounts Payable functions.
  • Assist with Accounts Receivable functions.
  • Support the preparation of month-end and year-end closing processes and financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP and internal policies.
  • Maintain positive and professional relationships with peers and management, demonstrating a commitment to teamwork and exemplary customer service.
  • Represent the organization positively in all interactions with customers and the community.

Competencies Required:

  • Strong knowledge of finance, accounting, and cost control principles, including GAAP.
  • Familiarity with automated financial and accounting reporting systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, OR an equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the essential responsibilities of the position.
