We have a full-time position open and are looking for our next great team member. Our hiring pay range is $16.43 - $19.50 per hour, depending on experience. Monday through Friday schedule, no weekend coverage required.

Genesis OB/GYN, is seeking an experienced Front Office Coordinator for our Northwest Care Center. Greet patients and visitors professionally and politely, check patients in and out using the EMR, system, collect and post patients’ payments, schedule appointments, answer phones, process medical records requests, and assist patients with portal issues and questions.

Essential Functions

Greet patients and visitors and direct them appropriately.

Check patients in and out using the facility’s practice management systems.

Collect payments and post them to the patients’ accounts.

Assist patients with their registration in the facility’s electronic medical record, as needed.

Present all patient forms and policies; obtain signatures on needed forms and consents; collect all appropriate billing forms and scan into the appropriate database.

Schedule follow-up appointments for patients to include work-in appointments.

Maintain cleanliness of the lobby and front office area.

Monitor the patients as they wait in the lobby for their appointments.

Monitor clinic flow: notify patient when the providers are running late and notify providers of no shows. Notify lab staff of patients waiting for labs

Open and close the clinic.

Responsible for collecting patient payments with accuracy and posting properly

Exhibit and maintain a high degree of professionalism and decorum in all situations in addition to confidentiality, flexibility, and accountability

Education

High School Diploma or GEDrequired.

Experience/Qualifications

:

2 - 4 years of medical office experience required, with a focus on front office operations

Excellent communication and organizational skills

Commitment to excellent customer service

English/Spanish preferred

Understanding of private and governmental insurance carrier eligibility and benefits; ability to explain information to patient

Understanding of and adherence to confidentiality rules

Accuracy and attention to detail with ability to multi-task

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, such as Word, Excel, and Outlook

Familiarity with EMR software, self-check-in software

Previous money handling experience preferred

Reliable transportation, some travel between offices is required
