Headquartered in London, Arbolus is a venture-backed scale-up with over 170 employees across five global offices in Barcelona, New York, and Gurgaon. Recently, we secured a $20 million Series B funding round to fuel our U.S. expansion and advance our mission: to make human knowledge digital and widely accessible.
About the role
As the VP of Business Development, you will play a pivotal role in driving and shaping our sales / new business strategy within the US market. You'll lead our sales efforts, develop and implement scalable strategies, and foster strong relationships with enterprise clients across key industries. This is an exciting opportunity for a results-driven leader to join our leadership team and make a significant impact.
Key responsibilities you will be in charge of
- Lead Sales Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to meet and exceed revenue goals.
- Team Leadership: Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing business development team, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
- Market Expansion: Identify new market opportunities and customer segments to drive growth.
- Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, product, and operations teams to align sales efforts with broader company objectives.
- Process Optimization: Implement scalable sales processes and tools to enhance team efficiency and productivity.
We are looking for a dynamic and motivated individual, who loves taking on new challenges, has a high level of energy, and is enthusiastic about the unique opportunity to be a member of a fast-growing Business Development team. Experience with Expert Network or related industries is mandatory. The person in this role will make a significant contribution to the growth and future success of Arbolus.
Requirements to succeed in this role
- Proven Leadership: 6+ years of experience in B2B sales, with at least 3 years in senior leadership roles, ideally in SaaS, Expert Networks, and related industries.
- Track Record of Success: Demonstrated success in driving significant portfólio growth and achieving ambitious targets.
- Market Expertise: Deep understanding of sales strategies in the industry; experience with Funds(Private Equity, Hedge Funds) or consulting clients is highly desirable.
- Exceptional Communication: Strong presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Team-Oriented: Passionate about mentoring and empowering your team to achieve their full potential.
- Entrepreneurial Spirit: Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-growth scale-up environment.
- Variable bonus on top of your base salary ($140k-$180k)
