3 day Work Week with a 4 week work day rotation

Responsibilities

Process Lead Auditor responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Periodic quality checks of hides in process

Monitoring of data and process steps

Looking for variables from both people and process

Taking an active role in communicating maintenance issues

Assisting operators with knowledge of the plant and of the process

Taking an active role in verification of training for new operators

Ensuring all operators have the tools needed to do their jobs effectively

Responsible for the maintenance and calibration of pH meters

Drum inspections

Be an open channel for inter-shift communication

Performing calibration tests on chemicals

Entering daily data from recipes

Responsible for weekly inventory

Staying aware of potential aberrant outcomes if steps are not completed correctly

Noting if operators are deviating from procedures

Communicating with tanner for process related problems

Being an open lane of communication for operators

Working with operators to keep the area tidy

Helping prepare for the monthly meetings

Encouraging a safe work environment including wearing appropriate PPE

Other duties as assigned

This is a safety sensitive position. This is an on-site position.

Qualifications

Qualified Candidates for the Process Lead Auditor position should have the following skills:

  • Must be able to read and write in English

  • Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required. This is normally acquired through a high school diploma or equivalent

  • Knowledge of the manufacturing processes, procedures, and machinery. This is normally acquired through two to five years of manufacturing experience

  • Manual dexterity required for operating machinery and computers

  • Availability to work all shifts, flexible hours, flexible days/evenings to include weekends and holidays

  • Conceptual/Analytical thinking

  • Attention to detail-Problem solving

  • Monitoring: effectively monitor quality output, knowledge of SCADA

  • Excellent communication skills - verbal and written

  • Thorough knowledge of the Loft Operator duties and the ability to do them

  • Self-motivated and self-starter

  • Maintain confidentiality

  • Basic computer skills
