Duties/Responsibilities:

MPR is seeking a Human Resources Manager to become an integral member of a talented team. This position will report to the Director of Human Resources and has a hands-on role in the day-to-day human resources activities. This position will have an opportunity to work in all areas of human resources. The primary duties will fall in several functional areas, depending on experience and interest: recruitment and onboarding, employee relations, employment law compliance, and benefits administration. This is a great opportunity for a self-motivated individual that takes ownership of their tasks to develop a broad range of human resources experience with a team of highly motivated employees. Responsibilities of this position are complex, requiring a high degree of confidentiality, discretion, independent judgment, and initiative. This is an ideal position for an experienced Human Resources Generalist or Human Resources Specialist wanting to take the next step into a management role with future supervisory responsibilities. This is a full-time, exempt position in MPRs Alexandria, VA, office.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in human resources, psychology, business administration, or other related fields preferred.
  • PHR or SHRM-CP certification a plus.

Experience

  • Six (6) or more years of experience in a Human Resources Generalist, Human Resources Manager, or equivalent role with a solid background in employee relations, training and development, recruiting, onboarding, and/or benefits administration as well as employment law compliance preferred.

Skills Software

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.) applications.
  • Prior experience with a Human Resources Information System is preferred.
  • Prior experience with an Applicant Tracking System is preferred.
  • Prior experience with a Learning Management System is preferred.

Skills Personal
