That's what makes us Rightpoint Introduction Rightpoint is looking for a Production Support Engineer that will provide proactive and reactive application development support services with the application support team. The scope of work includes ticket management, triage, and L2/L3 technical support for end-users, application, infrastructure, and cloud. What You Will Do and The Impact You Will Make: Provides professional, hybrid work (from the client Salt Lake City office) application support in a fast-paced environment. Responsible to collaborate with businesspeople to have a real time understanding of business problems and expected to focus on agile methodology of development. Deliver high quality change within the deadlines. In this role, you will be responsible for coding, testing and delivering high quality deliverables, should be willing to learn new technologies. To work as a support member of the horizontal mainframe support. Understanding the large picture and provide excellent Support to Business Users on Critical Business Issues for Legal, Finance, Regulatory, and ED&S applications. To ensure our clients issues are resolved within defined SLAs (Service Level Agreements), meeting their expectations of resolution for issues raised. Leveraging the available tools within team, to ensure that system and critical incidents are correctly managed, ensuring timely resolution and as well focusing on strategic solution. Detailed analysis of new issues and documenting associated fixes, along with training other colleagues in support team. Ability to monitor systems and resolve day to day issues of the batch stream, and report on status of streams as needed. Provide detailed analysis of issues / governance report to senior management. What We Would Love to See: Preferred qualifications 5 years of Experience as a Production Support. BE/B Tech/MCA/BA with Computer certifications. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Good understanding on database like Sybase/SQL server/DB2. Good understanding of operating system like Linux/Unix. Good knowledge of scripting shell /Python. Basis understanding of Java, .Net, Mainframe. Strong interest in and aptitude for being trained in supporting distributed Linux/Java based applications. Prior exposure to Linux/Unix or Java a plus, but training will be provided. Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines to resolve production issues. Willingness to do weekend and other off-shift coverage occasionally as part of a team rotation schedule. Ability to clearly communicate both verbally and in writing to both business and technical people. Team player. Good attitude towards learning. Hands on knowledge in AWS and Java. Primary Skills: Database- Sybase/SQL server /DB2. OS- Linux/Unix. Language- Java. Scripting- Shell, Python. Dot NET – dotNet Core, C#, REST API, Microservices.
