If so, the Co-heads of Baird's Global Industrial's Group (GIG) within Investment Banking are seeking a GIG Industrial Operations Coordinator. This role will provide day-to-day support and leadership on numerous initiatives including group-level project management and coordination with constituents both internal and external to the group to ensure timely and successful execution. Reporting directly to the Co-heads of Industrial, the Industrial Operations Coordinator will be expected to quickly understand the business, group goals and project objectives, and, with that knowledge, work autonomously with limited day-to-day oversight to deliver results.This role requires you to create and manage project plans, communicate integration milestones and statuses, engage and motivate cross-functional teams as needed and impact, coordinate calls, take meeting minutes and provide presentations for various internal and external marketing initiatives, conferences, and meetings.As a Global Industrial Group Operations Coordinator, you will provideTactical Support for Industrials GIB Co-Heads:Coordinating the execution of strategic development initiatives to support business goalsLeading initiatives from inception to implementation, in partnership with others, by defining scope, timelines, tracking of key success indicators and briefing the leadership teamDeveloping and relying on relationships with others to deliver coordinated support to the Industrial Group including various corporate support teams and other industry and product groups within Global Investment BankingIdentifying areas for innovation and transformation by building consensus and stakeholder buy-in around recommendationsSeeking ways to improve and automate processes to ensure group-level scalabilityIntroducing and leveraging solutions used by other teams, and fostering a culture of innovationMarketing Efforts:Managing and coordinating multi-channel marketing campaigns, one-off marketing executions, and initiatives for the Industrials Group with corporate teams (e.g. marketing, website, social media, PR, etc.)Staying current on best practices and providing guidance on appropriate execution across all channelsClient Engagement:Planning and coordinating client events in conjunction with the corporate events teamFacilitating relationships and encouraging ongoing dialogueAnswering, screening and/or initiating client communication via emailInternal Team Coordination:Assisting with preparation work for mid-year and year-end performance review, promotion and compensation processes (i.e., logistics, drafting agendas, etc.)Maintaining and distributing weekly status reports, soliciting pitch/deal activity from bankers and administrative assistants and maintaining sector team dashboard to ensure its integrity and accuracyEditing and maintaining group organizational charts and related materialsWhat makes this opportunity great:Unique culture that values diverse backgrounds and perspectives while emphasizing respectful teamwork and a strong sense of partnership.Direct access to the Co-Heads of Baird's Global Industrial Group; liaison between Co-Heads and banking team.Meaningful impact on a leading franchise, learn the ins and outs of how to run an investment banking team.What we look for:Excellent verbal and written communication skills and poise when interacting with internal and external executive-level clients;The ability to think critically and solve problems;Absolute integrity and discretion in handling confidential information; andAn emerging marketing skillset, built on sound execution and process management, with exposure to strategy (client relations, application of research/benchmarking, planning and analysis), messaging development (including value proposition and sales enablement), conference coordination and execution management (ideation, development, execution, and program management).Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree with at least 5-10 years of relevant experienceA strong work ethic, demonstrated record for excellence and ability to function equally well in both a team setting and on a self-directed basisAble to tolerate peak workloads, to deal with constant interruptions and to maintain flexibility and composure in a high volume, high intensity, hectic environmentFlexibility in handling multiple projects simultaneously and prioritizing assignments accordinglyAn advanced knowledge of the investment banking industryHighly proficient with Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, Teams, PowerBI)Experience using CRM systems, preferably SalesforceThe Baird DifferenceIn addition to a strong culture that is focused on health and well-being, our organization offers competitive total compensation packages and unique benefits including:Protected Friday night and SaturdaysPeriodic Sabbaticals during careerShareholder opportunitiesMandatory paid time off (PTO)Robust 401k match and profit-sharing contribution Learn more about Baird's unique additional benefits here Commitment to Inclusion & Diversity Baird is committed to inclusion & diversity for our clients, our associates and the communities where we live and work.
