Overview of Recruiting Coordinator Position

The newly created role of Recruiting Coordinator will play a key role in helping Tucker Ellis recruit all internal positions in our 10 Hallways across the United States. The ideal candidate will use effective tools and services to identify and attract the best possible candidates. Working closely with firm leadership, this individual will determine the desired qualifications per position and identify and pursue candidates who meet those qualifications.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

  • Conduct searches for all open positions across all office locations from start to finish; work closely with Department Chairs, Practice Group Leaders, Partners, and Directors to identify recruiting needs and tailor recruitment efforts accordingly.
  • Communicate regularly with Department Chairs, Practice Group Leaders, Partners, and Directors regarding the status of open positions and provide information that will be helpful to them in understanding market trends, access to talent, and opportunities.
  1. Lead full-cycle interview scheduling process, including direct contact with candidates and third-party talent agents as required, coordinating attorney schedules, finalizing half- to full-day interviews, distributing interview schedules, and opening/closing interviews or meeting with candidates upon arrival; Quickly respond and adapt to time-sensitive scheduling changes and urgent attorney and/or candidate requests related to upcoming interviews.
  2. Distribute and collect post interview evaluations.
  3. Provide evaluation summaries to hiring partners.
  • Coordinate resume data collection, including demographics on candidates for Mansfield Rule Certification and other initiatives.
  • Facilitate content collection for the Careers page of the Firms website and LinkedIn, working closely with our Marketing Department.
  • Identify ways to use technology to recruit top talent and brand Tucker Ellis as an employer of choice.
  • Maintain up-to-date and fresh recruiting videos; work with Marketing Department to share content on Firm social media sites regularly.
  • Send periodic communications firm-wide regarding current openings.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with attorneys and professionals across the Firm to be best positioned to sell candidates on the Tucker Ellis experience.
  • Other duties as needed to drive the vision, fulfill the mission, and uphold the values of the organization.

Job Qualifications (Education, Experience and Certification):

  • Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of recruiting in a professional services industry required. Preferably law firm recruiting, executive recruiting, and/or other client-service industry recruiting.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and attitude.
  • Independent thinker; ability to be flexible.
  • Excellent organizational and administrative skills, particularly regarding interview scheduling.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Excellent computer and software skills (MS Word, Excel, Outlook required).
  • Preferred experience with LinkedIn Recruiter.

Work Environment & Schedule:

Professional office atmosphere. Position primarily involves sitting or standing for prolonged periods. Position may require occasional off-hour meetings and events.

At this time, this position allows for a hybrid schedule and our team members are expected to be in the office on Tuesday or Thursday and Wednesday each week, with flexibility to switch days as needed with approval. Additional days in-office may be required depending on business need and the demands of specific tasks. The hybrid work structure may change at any time, including the required number of in-office days.
